The Golden Knights led by two goals and appeared to be in control. But mental mistakes and a costly penalty woke up the Dallas Stars long enough for Wyatt Johnston to break the Knights’ hearts again.

Wyatt Johnston scored 20 seconds into overtime to complete a natural hat trick and rally the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory Tuesday night over the Vegas Golden Knights.

Jason Robertson has been one of the hottest players in the NHL over his last 25 games. The star forward has amassed 10 goals and 28 points within that span. The native of Arcadia, California put up two more goals last night, with his second being a wrist shot from down low, to give the Stars a 4-2 lead in the second period.

Wyatt Johnston scored a natural hat trick, including the game-winner 20 seconds into overtime, as the Dallas Stars rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.

Stars: Robertson’s second multigoal game of the season gave him 17, three behind Hintz. The club’s team leader answered Eichel’s game-opening goal with his 20th, also on the power play, in the first period.

Johnston’s overtime goal both completed both his hat trick and notched the Stars’ first victory of the season when trailing after two periods.
