Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.' ...

In our Gospel reading Jesus is telling is that he is the bread of life, always there alongside us. That thought should comfort us and also calm our fears.
