With the one goal given up, Elvis has now allowed two or fewer goals in five of his last six starts, winning those five games as well. Merzļikins was able to shut down a high-powered Vegas offense on Thursday night. Vegas ended the game with 38 total scoring chances.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have Cole Sillinger back in the lineup as the Jackets clash with the Vegas Golden Knights for the first time this season. With two days left in January, it’s rare that two teams face each other this late in the season.
