Since the Heatles era, the Miami Heat has had most success under Jimmy Butler's leadership. The 35-year-old star has led the team to the NBA Finals twice, albeit losing both times. Now, with Butler looking for a major contract extension, the organization is apparently ready to move in another direction.

In games where he has played, Butler has gotten the sense that Miami's offense is gearing more toward the Tyler Herro-Bam Adebayo duo, forcing him to be the third option. Although Herro is having a career year, Butler feels that if he's going to be the third option, he'd rather be a third option for Phoenix.
