A playoff rematch between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames doesn't seem nearly as unlikely as it did just a few months ago.

The Calgary Flames are looking to improve their centre depth ahead of the trade deadline, and these five may fit the bill.

The Pacific Division is fun this season. A new leader in the Pacific Division has emerged, as the Edmonton Oilers have a 32-15-3 record with 67 points.

However, one rivalry that a couple of the Oilers' best players enjoy is against the Seattle Kraken. The Kraken haven't been in the league for a long time, but Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have enjoyed much success against them.

Finishing with a season-high 45 saves, goalie Alex Lyon helped the Red Wings (25-21-5; 55 points) earn their second straight multi-goal comeback win and third of the season. As for the Oilers (32-15-4; 68 points), they saw netminder Stuart Skinner make 33 saves.

While there is still a good chunk of the season remaining, it’s clear the Edmonton Oilers will be a playoff team for the sixth-consecutive year. Seeing them get back into the postseason will come as no surprise,
