Early voting for municipal races in the New Orleans area runs until October 4th in some areas, and the early voting turnout so far is quite high. Does that portend a huge turnout for the regular election?
There are no statewide races, but some parishes have financial matters to vote on and other parishes have big elections underway.
Early voting began on Saturday, September 27, and will run through Saturday, October 4. The polls will not be open on Sunday, September 28. You can cast you ballot between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any one of the early voting days.
