Philadelphia All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun says he wants to re-sign with the Eagles in free agency, but it takes two to tango

Zack Baun was an afterthought of a free agent signing. Now, he's a first-team All-Pro after a breakout season for Vic Fangio and the Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys have many needs to address this offseason. They will need to find a new head coach first, but there are plenty of talented players the team could target in free agency.

The Eagles added a pair of NFC South linebackers in Devin White and Zack Baun as free agents, but each came to Philadelphia with plenty to prove. White had a rough final two seasons in Tampa Bay after a hot start to his career, while Baun struggled to hold down a starting role in four seasons with the Saints.

One of the biggest reasons for their resurgence on that side of the ball under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has been the emergence of linebacker Zack Baun. Baun wasn't even a full time off-ball linebacker before this season, but he has blossomed to one of the best in the league at his position.

They simply cannot allow Baun to walk in free agency this year. Losing Dean for the early stages of the 2025 season is difficult. The organization will most likely have to find a replacement linebacker in the meantime.
