Aaron Glenn's strong relationships around the league has opened the door for quality names to be tied to the team.

The New York Jets have revealed the three finalists for their general manager position and a decision is expected on Thursday, January 23.

Aaron Glenn has been hired as the new head coach in New York. That move was announced on Wednesday. That decision was swiftly made and all signs pointed to Washington Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark being named the Jets GM. That’s because Newmark and Glenn have a history of working together while both were with the Detroit Lions.

Bengals senior personnel executive Trey Brown and Broncos assistant general manager Darren Mougey were scheduled to meet with the Jets on Thursday for  a second interview after Washington assistant general manager Lance Newmark was at the Jets' facility on Tuesday.

Jets defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton and cornerbacks coach Tony Oden are also both under consideration for roles on Glenn’s staff, according to sources.

The Jets will conduct in-person second interviews with Broncos assistant GM Darren Mougey and Bengals senior personnel exec Trey Brown for their GM job tomorrow, per source. Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark was in Tuesday. Those are, for now, the only three finalists.
