Running back Saquon Barkley is taking every step necessary to be sure he’s ready to play through the snow, telling reporters on Friday that he planned to call up former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy for tips before kickoff.

If the Rams stand any chance against the Eagles, they’ll have to contain Barkley, who will likely receive MVP award votes for his near-record-breaking season. Barkley, who sat out the final game of the season against the Giants, was just 100 yards shy of Rams running back Eric Dickerson’s 2,105-yard rushing record set in 1983.

The Eagles won the turnover battle and the best running back in football helped bring them one step closer to the Super Bowl.

The Eagles famously hosted the Detroit Lions in 2013 in a game dubbed the “Snow Bowl,” with whiteout conditions throughout regulation. LeSean McCoy ran 217 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-20 victory.

Every Eagles player on the 53-man roster is eligible to play Sunday, according to the Eagles' final injury report of the week. That includes TE Dallas Goedert, who missed practice Thursday and was limited Friday, due to illness. WR A.J. Brown (knee/rest) was a full participant Friday after not practicing Wednesday and being limited Thursday.

In two games against the Rams this season, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley combined for 460 yards and four touchdowns.
