The first teaser trailer for Supergirl, Craig Gillespie's new DCU movie starring Milly Alcock as the titular superhero, has been released.

The first trailer for Supergirl starring Milly Alcock has arrived, and we're excited to see what she'll bring to James Gunn's DCU.

Against a backdrop of Blondie’s 1980 hit, “Call Me,” the teaser depicts Alcock’s Supergirl as a universe-hopping party girl in her early 20s who is on a mission of vengeance on behalf of Ruthye Mary Kroll.

Alcock continues, "You don't have to be perfect in order to come to some sort of internal self-resolution. I think that we're kind of thrusted upon this narrative, especially women, that you have to be perfect… I think that Kara is someone who so beautifully leans into her flaws. I think that's really, really special."

Milly Alcock's Kara Zor-El (aka Supergirl) has been through it, but Craig Gillespie's film seems intent on embracing her darkness and light.
