A newly described Middle Jurassic dinosaur from the Isle of Skye is the most complete specimen yet found in Scotland.

Fossilised remains of newly identified dinosaur species and mammal suggest they were both predator and quarry to each other.

“We describe two new compsognathid-like species, [Sinosauropteryx lingyuanensis ... a group of carnivorous, mostly bipedal dinosaurs that also included the Tyrannosaurus.
