2025 is shaping up to be a banner year for the Man of Steel as director James Gunn's tentpole "Superman" feature film is streaking towards lucky cinemas this summer faster than a speeding bullet.

Superman Unlimited will kick off May 21, and will be set up with a “Zero Issue” in DC’s Free Comic Book Day issue on May 3. According to DC, the “Summer of Superman” will include ongoing and limited books for fellow Supers like Supergirl, Superboy, and Krypto.

Slott, who has been signed to an exclusive contract with Marvel since the late aughts, will make his DC debut with Superman Unlimited, writing the monthly comic that will be drawn by Rafael Albuquerque, the artist and co-creator of the award-winning horror comic American Vampire. DC announced the news Thursday.
