Captain Butch Wilmore retires from NASA after flying Boeing Starliner's first crewed test mission and completing five spacewalks at International Space Station.

Four months after NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams returned from their eight-day turned nine-month mission in space, Butch has retired.

The astronaut is stepping away from NASA shortly after returning from a troubled test flight that left him aboard the ISS months longer than expected.
