Last week during Paul Mescal’s episode, it was David Spade joining frequent guest Dana Carvey. With Rock hosting, “SNL” brought back a fourth member of the so-called “bad boys” era of the show from the early ’90s, Adam Sandler.

Adam Sandler, who was a cast member on SNL from 1990-1995, surprised the audience in a skit where he played a patient being operated on. Sandler wakes up after a nurse left an AirPod inside him, and starts spurting blood. It’s a perfectly ridiculous sketch, and Sandler breaks several times as he sprays fake blood on the rest of the cast.
