A Philadelphia man admitted to reporting a hoax mass shooting and then a bomb threat in retaliation over a fantasy football argument, authorities said Wednesday.

Matthew Gabriel pleaded guilty to knowingly fabricating a mass shooting threat in Norway and a bombing plot at the University of Iowa.

Matthew Gabriel, 25, of Philadelphia, also admitted to a fake report of a bomb threat at the University of Iowa. The mass shooting report was made in Norway. He pleaded guilty to federal charges.
