KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lucas Giolito had on a blue T-shirt that said “Win The Day” on the back as he puttered around the clubhouse preparing for his start against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. It was good message for a pitcher, especially one who didn’t get through four innings in his previous start.

The Boston Red Sox had a great night on Saturday as they got revenge on the red-hot Kansas City Royals. One guy who shined in the win was designated hitter Rafael Devers. He went 4-for-4 with three RBIs,

That’s no longer the case as the Red Sox ask him to learn an entirely new position. There exists at least the potential for Devers to flub chances and not dig out throws and cost his team games. And even if that doesn’t happen, Devers could fear it might.
