Slavek Zaglewski, 55, of Oakland, N.J., was climbing with a friend when he fell while climbing a steep section near the top of Shoestring Gully, officials said.

The 55-year-old New Jersey man was climbing Shoestring Gully in the White Mountains with a friend Saturday, Dec. 14, when he fell as he neared the top, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said in a Dec. 16 news release. The fall left the man with injuries to his head and arm, officials said.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department says an ice climber was helped out after they were injured from a fall.
