It’s been one week since a Loudoun County, Virginia, college student went missing in the Dominican Republic, and there are still no answers.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia says that St. Cloud State University (SCSU) student Joshua Riibe has been identified as potentially the last person to have seen Sudiksha Konanki. Konanki is a Loudoun County resident and student at the University of Pittsburgh.

After three days of searching the waters and shores near a resort beach in Punta Cana, where his daughter was last seen, the father of 20-year-old Sudiksha Konanki of South Riding has asked Dominican Republic officials to widen their investigation into kidnapping and abduction.

Authorities have ramped up their efforts by air, sea and land to track down the 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student who went missing six days ago while vacationing in the Dominican Republic resort town of Punta Cana.
