Club America have made history with the first three-peat in Liga MX history after beating Monterrey in the second leg of the final on Sunday. Las Aguilas narrowly squeezed past Rayados 3-2 on aggregate to seal the Apertura 2024 crown with Richard Sanchez netting the championship-clinching goal.

Club América made history by winning a third consecutive Liga MX title, tying 1–1 against Monterrey in the second leg of the final winning 3–2 on aggregate.

The Liga MX Apertura is coming to a close as Club America and CF Monterrey will face off with the title on the line. While they may not have topped the table before playoffs started, these are two of the most experienced sides in navigating the playoffs with 20 Liga MX titles between them.

Club América has done it again. Las Águilas drew Monterrey 1-1 in Sunday night's Liga MX final second leg, clinching a third consecutive title with a 3-2 aggregate victory. The draw saw André Jardine's side become the first team to win three straight titles since Liga MX switched to a short tournament format in 1996.
