Lidia Fire initially started 2:07 p.m. Jan. 8 in Los Angeles County. Since its discovery 22 hours ago, it has burned 348 acres. By Thursday noon, the fire crew effectively contained 60% of this fire. The cause of it remains under investigation.

Forward progress has been stopped Thursday on a wildfire burning in Acton that has led to evacuation orders, the fire chief for Los Angeles County said.

Firefighters responded to the Lidia fire around 1 p.m. to the 5700 block of Soledad Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. By 4:11 p.m., the fire had grown to 80 acres. Officials earlier estimated the fire was burning between five and seven acres around 2 p.m.
