Los Angeles police arrested a man Monday on suspicion of arson after a small brush fire broke out in Griffith Park under the Observatory.

Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to a brush fire on the southern edge of Los Angeles’ Griffith Park. The small fire started in medium brush above homes on a day of red flag warnings in Los Angeles County,

Griffith Park is home to such L.A. landmarks as Griffith Observatory, the Greek Theatre, the Los Angeles Zoo and the Hollywood Sign. It also contains the Travel Town Museum as well as a merry-go-round.
