A viaduct near West 47th Street and South Archer Avenue in Chicago's Archer Heights neighborhood is flooded on Sunday morning, leaving some cars stranded. ABC7 was on the scene as drivers tried to get through the floodwaters. At least four cars were stuck there at 5:30 a.m.

Storms and heavy rains that ripped through the area overnight were on their way out early Sunday, but flooding potential remained.

While Sunday’s weather was expected to be tamer, flood warnings and advisories remained, mostly for the suburbs southeast of Chicago.
