A New Zealand immigration official has overturned a ban on the U.S. conservative political commentator Candace Owens entering the country, citing “the importance of free speech," a spokesperson for the official said Thursday.

The conservative pundit was denied entry into New Zealand and Australia last month due to her controversial comments about the Holocaust and Muslims.

Candace Owens is once again allowed to visit New Zealand after immigration officials reversed their earlier decision to block her from entering the country.
