A Wisconsin appellate court has denied the state Democratic attorney general’s request to stop billionaire Elon Musk from handing over $1 million checks to two voters at a rally planned for Sunday, just two days before a closely contested Supreme Court election.
The court declined to quickly intervene before a Musk event Sunday at which he plans to give out two $1 million checks.
Earlier this month, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang, a Maryland-based appointee of President Barack Obama, ruled that Musk and his DOGE allies were likely exercising an unconstitutional amount of power because Musk has not been formally appointed to a Senate-confirmed position. He blocked Musk and DOGE from proceeding with USAID cuts.
