Promoters Anil Ambani and family have invested Rs 1,104 crore in the Rs 3,014 crore preferential share issue of Reliance Infrastructure. Ambani and his family, which holds 21.34% in the company has made the investment through Risee Infinity Private Limited.

Reliance Infrastructure shares have posted strong returns, rising 31.51% in the past month and 25.78% over six months. Year-to-date, the stock has surged 80.53%, delivering over 49.47% returns in the last twelve months,

The shares of Anil Ambani led Reliance Infrastructure on Friday (September 20) experienced a significant surge by more than 12 per cent, reaching a new 52 week high of Rs 320.40 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). This recent surge in the stock prices was in response to the company's board approval of a major fundraising inititiative.

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, the flagship company of Anil Ambani, is set to receive Rs 1,100 crore equity infusion from the promoters and another Rs 1,910 crore from two Mumbai-based investment firms.

Shares of Reliance Infrastructure zoomed 12.37% to a fresh 52-week high of Rs 320 on BSE. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 12,622 crore.

In Anil Ambani's major expansion plan, he is also getting 1200 cr investment as a minority stake from prominent investors.

Reliance Infrastructure, led by Anil Ambani, is seeking to raise Rs 6,014 crore to support its expansion plans.
