The first meaningful trade of the the 2024-25 NBA season is here... well, almost. Though the deal won't technically be legal until Sunday, the Golden State Warriors are closing in on a deal with the Brooklyn Nets to acquire point guard Dennis Schroder.

While the trade deadline is still two months away, the Golden State Warriors' are already active in the trade market. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Warriors are finalizing a trade with the Brooklyn Nets to acquire veteran guard Dennis Schroder.

The Warriors figure to finalize their trade for Dennis Schroder by Monday because of a special carve-out in the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement.
