LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas State University will soon add a College of Veterinary Medicine at its A-State campus in Jonesboro. ASU board of trustees authorized a $30.6 million bond issue at a special meeting on Thursday. The bond will finance building construction for the university’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

The Arkansas State University System will issue bonds to finance capital improvements -- principally a building for a new veterinary school -- at its flagship campus, Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

The university plans to finance the building through the issuance of taxable Student Fee Revenue Bonds and use of institutional reserve funds.
