Nine newcomers, three artists with Houston ties and the original "American Idol" highlight the 2026 RodeoHouston concert lineup.

The 2026 Houston rodeo opens March 2 and runs through March 22. The genre calendar came out back in November, showing that rodeogoers could expect 14 country-focused concerts, as well as nights dedicated to regional Mexican, R&B, Christian, rock and pop music.

Longtime returning performers like Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw will join artists making their rodeo debuts, like Lizzo and Creed.

The 25 most-attended RodeoHouston concerts include Usher, Ariana Grande and lots of Go Tejano Days. The change will give you more time to ride the Ferris wheels and stand in line for corn dogs. An issue with a fire alarm panel at a bar on Washington Avenue led to police clearing a party.

Hondo Rodeo Fest is bringing elite rodeo, stadium rock — and a rare Angola Prison Rodeo competition — to the Superdome in April 2026. Backed by $2M in state funding, officials hope it becomes New Orleans’ next major spring anchor.
