The Kansas City Chiefs have played on Christmas in each of the past two seasons, and if they get their way, it sounds like they'll once again be playing on Christmas this year.

The Chiefs appear likely to get their wish in 2025 and are expected to play on Christmas Day. The NFL will host three games that day. The first two will reportedly air on Netflix. The third game will reportedly be broadcast on Amazon Prime as part of its "Thursday Night Football" package. Christmas Day falls on a Thursday in 2025.

Christmas Day playing time is at the top of the Chiefs’ holiday wishlist. Kansas City wants to be a staple in the NFL’s Dec. 25 slate moving forward and has requested such to the league, The Athletic reported Wednesday, with the Chiefs “expected to be one of the teams to play” on the holiday later this year.
