The State Board of Education granted the one-year waivers for Portage Christian School and Griffith’s Calumet Christian School for 2019-20 during a meeting in Indianapolis on March 6.

The Portage Christian School, at 3040 Arlene St., saw its site plan for a 10,722-square-foot addition approved by the commission at its Aug. 1 meeting. The school has had other additions in the past.
