Armed officers carried out arrest enquiries at an address in Castleford yesterday evening and at three addresses in Leeds in the early hours of this morning. A 17-year-old male was arrested in Castleford and a 24-year-old man was arrested in Leeds.

A man has been arrested after reports he was carrying multiple knives outside of Parliament. Armed police officers swooped on the 34-year-old just after 2pm on Tuesday. A man has been arrested after reports of a person carrying knives outside the Houses of Parliament, police have said.

As reported, armed police flooded the town centre area following reports of an assault. Several police vehicles were seen parked close to the area known as Densham's Corner, off Yarm Lane. Following the incident, a Crime Scene Investigation van was parked outside Papasallis pizza shop on Oxbridge Lane.
