Conal Heatley said that the flag – used for decades to represent local athletes at the games – does not represent both communities and his organisation wants a flag that is “welcoming to everybody”.

The flag has been used to represent Northern Ireland for decades – but the head of the body which represents local athletes says that unless Stormont provides advice, it will use Team NI logo instead.
