New Orleans will ring in the New Year with its signature tradition: a glowing fleur-de-lis dropping in the French Quarter — and you don’t have to be there in person to see it. The iconic symbol will drop down a 25-foot pole from atop the nearby Jax Brewery building. The event will be followed by a fireworks display over the Mississippi River.
