U.S. stocks slipped as juice ran out for the torrid “Trump trade” that swept Wall Street following Donald Trump’s presidential victory

The Nasdaq-100 tracks the performance of the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. Component weighting is adjusted quarterly in March, June, and September, and the entire index is reconstituted annually in December.

Most U.S. stocks are rising Monday and adding to the gains made during their best week of the year. The S&P 500 was up 0.1% in afternoon trading, and two out of every three stocks in the index were climbing.
