Whilst Diaz ended the season as Liverpool's third highest scorer, he did endure a barren spell in the middle of the season where he managed just one goal in 17 games between the start of the year and the start of April. This inconsistency could lead to Liverpool being willing to sanction a move for him should a suitable offer arise.

And, after a new report from Spanish outlet SPORT outlined that Hansi Flick has given his ‘approval’ to make a move for Diaz, his exit seems closer than ever. The report goes on to add that Diaz has the ‘profile’ that the La Liga outfit are looking for, with their main goal of the summer being to sign a player who can play on the left wing.

Luis Díaz is said to be trying to force an exit from Liverpool this summer, with a dream move to Barcelona in his sights. Díaz is four weeks away from entering the final two seasons of his Liverpool contract and talks over an extension have yet to make much progress.
