Jim Rockford is back on the case: NBC has ordered a pilot for a reboot of the classic '70s detective series The Rockford Files.
The original 'Rockford Files' was created by Roy Huggins and Stephen J. Cannell. It aired on NBC from 1974 to 1980, starring the late actor James Garner in the lead role.
This will mark NBC and Universal's third attempt to reboot the iconic series.
