The man accused of dumping a baby’s body in a dumpster in Whitehaven earlier this week was in tears during his court appearance.

Memphis Police said a girl had given birth on the way to the hospital and the man she was with took the baby and put the child in a dumpster.

The Memphis Police Department said the baby was discovered last Monday in a dumpster behind a Whitehaven gas station.
