Google's NotebookLM now allows users to interact with AI-generated podcasts' hosts. Users can join podcasts, customize AI hosts' discussions and voices, and access more features with NotebookLM Plus. NotebookLM may soon be directly integrated into Google Gemini on Android, expanding its accessibility and features.

Google warns that the tool is still an 'experimental feature.' It also teases a subscription-based NotebookLM Plus with five times more Audio Overviews, notebooks, and sources.

To use the new feature, open NotebookLM, create a new Audio Overview, tap on the new Interactive mode (BETA) button and hit play. When the AI hosts start talking, simply press the ‘Join’ button and one of the hosts will let you ask questions and answer them on your sources.
