Alphabet climbed more than 2% Wednesday, thus putting it ahead of Apple in market cap, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The Google parent now holds second place with $3.89 trillion in value, behind only Nvidia's $4.6 trillion. Apple now sits at $3.85 trillion.
