In a battle of teams in the thick of the playoff push, the Denver Broncos rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Indianapolis Colts, 31-13, on Sunday to inch closer to a postseason berth and secure their first winning season since 2016.

The Indianapolis Colts’ already slim playoff hopes took another hit on Thursday night with the Los Angeles Chargers beating the Denver Broncos. Prior to that game, the Colts’ most straightforward path to the playoffs consisted of them winning their final three games and the Chargers finishing the season 1-2 or worse.

Heading into Week 16, the Colts are on the outside of the AFC playoff field. Indianapolis sits in the No. 8 seed spot in the standings, but 2.5 games back of the Chargers and Broncos, who have nine wins.
