The nominees for the 2025 EE BAFTA film awards are being unveiled in London on Wednesday. Actors Will Sharpe and Mia McKenna Bruce are revealing the coveted shortlists at 12 p.m. GMT (4 a.m. PT) in a livestream from the U.K. Academy’s headquarters at 195 Piccadilly in the British capital.

Conclave leads the pack with 12 nominations, with Netflix's Emilia Pérez – which led the longlists with 15 mentions – close behind with 11 nominations. The Brutalist landed nine nominations, with Anora, Dune: Part Two and Wicked all ending up with seven nominations.

She lauded the list of nominations, particularly its variety, noting that six different genres were represented on the best film list. She also highlighted that 14 of the 24 nominations in the acting categories were first-timers, and that whoever wins the best actress award will be a first-time BAFTA winner.
