Hunter Long caught two passes for 17 yards and Colby Parkinson also caught two for 21 yards, including a 14-yarder on the Rams’ game-sealing drive that all but ended any chance of a 49ers comeback. Davis Allen continues to be a non-factor, though.

The 49ers (6-7) used a fast-starting offense, a seven-sack defensive effort and an all-around sense of urgency to throttle the Bears 38-13.

Nothing much worked on Sunday in Thomas Brown's debut and this doesn't say much for a strong finish or their interim coach's bid to become head coach.
