The 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II is one of the most iconic of all the homologation racers, and now you have a chance to purchase a pristine example from Speedart Motorsports.

It represented the zenith of the 190E's factory performance potential—at least besides a six-cylinder AMG 3.2 racing model—and just 502 were built in 1990 to satisfy DTM homologation rules.

It reads: "An original component of the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 which established a world speed record for 50,000 [kilometers] at an average speed of 247.94 km/h at Nardo, Italy, 21.8.1983".

That said, one of the most notorious cars in its lineup is the 190E and yes, today we are talking about the boxy four-door grandpa mobile. But the car we have here is no base-model 190E.
