WWE Wrestlepalooza will take place on September 20 on the ESPN app, going head-to-head with AEW All Out. The company took to social media this afternoon to officially announce the event, tweeting out: “BREAKING NEWS: WWE Wrestlepalooza will be the first Premium Live Event on @espn!
WWE’s has amped up its efforts to hurt AEW via counter-programming. Some recent examples of this include booking Goldberg’s retirement match on the same date as AEW’s biggest event of the year (All In Texas) in July, and then scheduling the upcoming Wrestlepalooza PLE on the same date (Sept. 20) as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.
WWE are reportedly considering reviving ECW PPV 'Wrestlepalooza' to counter AEW's All Out PPV on September 20. There are expectations that John Cena will face Brock Lesnar at the PLE, given that the Beast is skipping Clash in Paris (August 31).

AEW and WWE will go head-to-head on September 20 with AEW All Out in Toronto and WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis. WWE has made a habit of running shows on the same day as AEW shows throughout 2025 with NXT events going against AEW All In and on the same day as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
