Through its 21 museums, 21 libraries, 14 education and research centers and a zoo, the Smithsonian Institution’s collections are expansive and cover every aspect of U.S. history, including more than 200 years of slavery.
President Trump continued his crusade against the Smithsonian museum, on Tuesday saying he has instructed his attorneys to "go through the Museums" the same way that the administration has investigated universities nationwide.
President Trump is reigniting a debate over how Americans speak about diversity after saying the Smithsonian museums focus on how bad the country is.
"The Museums throughout Washington, but all over the Country are, essentially, the last remaining segment of "WOKE," he wrote.
