A series of storms moving through Wisconsin could bring one to three inches of rain with locally higher totals, depending on the area, and might break the August rainfall record. The slow-moving weather system is expected to begin Saturday and continue through early Tuesday morning,
Some of the highest rainfall totals in the past 24 hours were in the Milwaukee area, where west of the city recorded 8 to 11 inches of rain.
After a sunny, 85-degree end to the work week, multiple rounds of storms could hit Wisconsin tonight through Aug. 19, possibly bringing more river flooding.

Since Trump took office, FEMA aid has been hit or miss. Kerr County in central Texas, which saw flash floods on July 4 that killed at least 135 people, including 37 children, received FEMA funding, as did Arkansas after deadly tornadoes, only after it was initially denied.
After torrential downpours across southeast Wisconsin and severe storms wreaked havoc around the state, Governor Tony Evers announced that he’s requesting assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
