The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) confirmed an officer and one other person were shot and killed in an incident in McNairy County.On Saturday afternoon, just after 3 p.m., officers with the Selmer Police Department responded to a report of a “suspicious person” outside a home in the 100 block of New Bethel Road.

Law enforcement agencies, police departments, and government officials offered condolences after Officer Rick Finley was killed in McNairy County.

A man, 51, was in the 2000 block of West Randolph Street at 5:28 p.m. Monday when he was shot several times, police said. He died at a hospital. No one is in custody.
