Svitolina and Monfils routed Alexandra Eala and Felix Auger-Aliassime to reach the US Open mixed doubles quarterfinal.

The US Open main draw doesn't start until the 30th of August, but that hasn't meant there hasn't been enough to have fans at the edge of their seats, especially when you have a showman like Gael Monfils -taking part in the mixed doubles which kicked off at the start of this week.

It should be quite a scene at IGA Stadium when Gael Monfils takes on Kamil Majchrzak in Round 1 of the ATP Canadian Masters. Monfils, 39, will be retiring at the end of this season, bringing an end to one of the most entertaining tennis careers of this generation.

Monfils has been awarded a US Open wildcard and will get to play singles in his last last Grand Slam tournament.
