BERLIN (AP) — The top diplomats of Britain, France, and Germany threatened to reimpose sanctions on Iran as an end-of-the-month deadline nears for the country to resume negotiations with the West over its nuclear program and cooperation with the United Nations nuclear watchdog.

France, Germany and the United Kingdom have told the United Nations they are prepared to reinstate sanctions on Iran, according to a joint letter.

The United Kingdom, Germany and France, known as the 'E3,' told the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency that they are giving Iran until the end of August to address international concerns.
