Indian pace bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur has continued his sensational form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season as he picked a hat-trick of wickets for Mumbai during the match against Meghalaya at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy ground in Bandra Kurla Complex on Thursday,

Thakur’s feat made him only the fifth bowler from Mumbai to register a hat-trick in Ranji Trophy history. The last Mumbai player to achieve the milestone was Royston Dias during the 2023-24 season. Meghalaya were eventually bowled out for just 86 in the first innings.

Shardul Thakur has continued to shine in the Ranji Trophy. This time he has struck with the ball picking up a stunning hat-trick against Meghalaya. At one stage, Meghalaya were six down for just two runs but they recovered to post 86 runs before getting bowled out.

Opening the bowling for Mumbai after the side chose to bowl first against the visitors, Shardul Thakur removed Meghalaya opener Nishanta Chakraborty for a four-ball duck in the first over before recording the hat-trick in the third over of the innings.
